Aswathy Mohan K
I am Aswathy Mohan K, coming from Nedumbassery. I completed my postgraduation M. Com from Christ College Irinjalakkuda. My family consist of husband and parents. After completing post-graduation, I took tuition at my home.
I heard about Cottolengo from a WhatsApp group, and I contacted them for the Scpwd program conducted by IOCL and Central government jointly. My parents encouraged me to go and attend the course. Everybody in Cottolengo helped me to do my best there and that made me more comfortable with the institute. Two and half month’s training boosted my confidence and basic skills. Later, I got placement after the course in Fragomen, as an immigration process assistant in Fragomen. The working environment was really comfortable for me.
I faced many challenges to get a new job, because of my inconvenience to travel and inability to do other things. I was preparing for the PSC exams from home by myself. Now, I got a government job as an accountant in an Urban Health Centre under Thrissur corporation and it increased my confidence to achieve many more heights with the help of the people around me. I am thankful to all at Cottolengo and Scpwd program, which helped me to find my potential.
